Five New EVs With The Biggest Price Drops In 2026

According to CarEdge, new vehicle prices are expected to rise by 2% to 4% in 2026, while EV prices are predicted to fall by 3% to 8% as federal incentives expire in the second half of 2025. Many major price cuts were reported for 2025, including Tesla's Model Y and GM's Chevrolet Equinox. However, these discounts were less welcome compared to others who discounted select EVs by five figures. Maserati has reportedly instructed dealers to discount its new coupe and convertible Folgore variants by $85,000, marking the largest discount on any new car. The Maseratti Grecale Folgores are seen as less expensive than their internal combustion counterpart, the Modena. Mercedes' EQ range is arguably one of the most comprehensive lineups of electric cars from any market from any other brand.
