Sam Altman's verification project, Tools for Humanity, has announced plans to expand into dating apps, event and concert ticketing systems, business organizations, email, and other public life arenas. The company, formerly known as Worldcoin, uses a spherical digital reader to scan a user’s eyes and convert their iris into a unique cryptographic identifier (world ID), which can be used to access World's services. The new feature, Concert Kit, allows concert tickets for World ID-verified humans to be reserved for specific concert dates. Other announcements included a Zoom/World ID integration to combat a potential deepfake threat to business calls and a partnership with authentication firm Okta to verify agents acting on behalf of a human. The firm is also working on features such as agent delegation, which allows users to delegate their World ID to an agent.
