The upcoming spin-off of The Boys, Vought Rising, has revealed that Soldier Boy, real name Benjamin, may play a significant role in the show due to a clue hidden in the first look of the upcoming episode of the show. The fan, avi_n_maint, points out that while all of the Supes are wearing military medals or badges, except for Soldier Boy who was born without military experience, he lacks any real military experience. Frederick Vought has always portrayed Soldier Boy as a product of the American dream, claiming he was born poor and built himself from the ground up through hard work and bravery. However, despite not being an actual soldier, Vough created the myth around him and used him as a mascot for the US military. This may explain why Soldier Boy is not in contact with the other Supes in the main series and may explain the separation between him and them.
