Smokey Bones has closed its doors in Colonie, NY, and other locations across the country as part of a wave of unexpected closures following its parent company, FAT Brands Inc., filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The closures, which included restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Rhode Island, were part of the larger wave of closures. Despite assurances that business would continue during restructuring, the chain's website now lists all locations as closed every day of the week, raising questions about its future. The company had already begun trimming its footprint months earlier and had begun cutting back on its footprint.
