General Manager Ben Cherington stated that Cruz is doing all baseball activities and that the bones in his fractured left hand have healed. However, they will wait until Cruz says he's ready to go before starting the rehab assignment. Cruz has been on the 60-day injured list since June 10 and can officially return as early August 7, marking 60 days from his time on the list.
