Stipe made the suggestion on The Late Show, stating that Eilishly, who holds a door open for him at a restaurant in Manhattan, was "amazing" and "she's amazing." Other actors suggested including Timothée Chalamet, J.K. Simmons, and David Cross, but Stipe declined these suggestions. The comments were made during Stipe's talk about his upcoming debut solo album, which would mark his first full album release since the band disbanded in 2011.
