Nearly 600 NYC flights into and out of LaGuardia Airport canceled after fatal crash

Over 600 flights into and out of LaGuardia Airport were cancelled following a fatal crash on runway four. The airport was under a ground-stop order while federal investigators investigated the crash. The incident left only two major international airports in New York City. Other incidents also occurred at Newark Airport, where the control tower was evacuated due to a burning smell.
