Goldman hikes average Brent oil forecast to over $100 a barrel for March
Published on March 13, 2026.
Goldman Sachs has increased its average Brent oil price forecast to over $100 a barrel for March, and $85 in April. This comes as energy prices remain volatile due to the Iran war, damage to Middle East energy infrastructure, and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. Goldman expects Brent crude to gradually ease back to the low $70s later in the year, but could reach higher peaks if longer-lasting disruptions occur. The company also raised its Q4 forecast for Brent and WTI crude oil price forecasts to $71 per barrel for Brent from $66 and $67 per barrel from $62.
