North Ridgeville resident Kenny Gilder started spinning vinyl as a disc jockey in the 1970s, when he shared his own 12 inch dance singles with the existing DJ at clubs. He was asked to perform at a club in Rocky River that night and the rest is history. Despite seeing significant changes in the industry over the years, Gilders remains committed to celebrating with his passion for music and vinyl. He is now CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) The KG Entertainment Group and performs up to 10 shows per week and is working with his son, who started carrying things at 10 years old to run his events. Gilde also works with area nursing homes to provide entertainment and "Music Bingo," a musical therapy program disguised as fun.
