Travon Patterson is excited to be ‘back home’ with Long Beach Poly football

Long Beach Poly football coach, Travon Patterson, is excited about the state of the team this season. Patterson, a 2006 Poly alum who played college football at USC and Colorado, was hired as the team's new head coach in January. He has been focusing on a culture of discipline and has built a great rapport with current players. The team's leading receiver, Jayden Coley, said Patterson is a great leader and the team is looking forward to a successful season. Despite a 5-5 overall last season under former coach Justin Utupo, Long Beach Poly withdrew from consideration for the CIF-SS playoffs.
