Swedish company Audio Pro has developed a range of speakers that combine smart Nordic design with impressive sound quality. The Drumfire D-2 W is designed for Apple users who stream high-resolution or lossless audio over AirPlay, but don't mind limited connectivity and portability. The new ‘W’ generation of speakers focuses on wireless audio, with AirPlay 2 and other streaming features, making it particularly suited to Apple users. The price tag is $400/£350 for the speaker, but it can also be purchased as part of a larger two-piece system called the Drumfire II W, which includes a large subwoofer for deeper bass. The speaker is available in black, white or grey and comes in at a price of $700/£600. It supports Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi, supporting AirPlay and multi-room audio. However, the lack of wired inputs is disappointing, with the only wired connection required is a single set of RCA stereo connectors.
