The weather is expected to improve for Saturday, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing in parts of the state, with warmer weather starting to move in Sunday. Winds have been gusting between 30 and 50 mph across New Mexico, creating a high fire danger until winds die down. The cold front will also move south, bringing very cold temperatures across the state. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing across western, northern, northeastern, and central New Mexico. However, temperatures will continue to rise, with some isolated rain chances returning Monday.
