Impaired driver arrested at Oroville Dam after collision and escape attempt

A driver suspected of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol was arrested after crashing into barriers on the Oroville Dam and attempting to flee. The California Highway Patrol found the driver near the dam and determined that he was impaired. A search led to the discovery of methamphetamine. The driver was booked on multiple charges, including driving under suspicion, DUI involving drugs, and destruction of evidence. No injuries were reported.
