Carl Houston Mc Millan, director of Lesotho's independent film "Kabelo," has premiered at the 8th Joburg Film Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Sesotho-language feature, which is part of the festival's official in-competition selection, is set in the mountains of the country and stars award-winning actor Warren Masemola and Lebohang Ntsane. The film explores themes of migration, identity, and the search for freedom. McMillan, who grew up in Lesothotho and attended film school in Cape Town, set up his own production company to help create a bigger film industry in the "Roof of Africa". He is now seeking distribution with executive producers Donald Houston Mc MILLan, Dylan Voogt and Marcelle du Toit.
