Google has introduced a new feature in Android XR, named "autonomous" that turns 2D apps, websites, images, and videos into "3D experiences" while using the Galaxy XR headset. The feature, which was initially announced last year, is launching as an experimental feature for Samsung Galaxy XRs. Despite some limitations, it supports content up to 1080p or lower at 30fps and only works on the app window currently in focus. Other features include pinning apps to walls and allowing users to see their real hands when interacting with virtual content.
