Lizette Vega, a 17-year-old girl from Lakeland, Florida, ended up with broken bones after a ride on a golf cart with her friends. The 900-pound golf cart toppled onto her neck and she was lifted up by her two friends, Nyemah Johnson, and taken to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center for surgery for a broken femur. Vega now has permanent metal rods in her hip and leg and is expected to return home from the hospital this week. She warns against ignoring warnings from her own mother about riding the golf cart.
