Fantaspoa, Latin America's largest genre film festival, held a record 550,000 attendees and hosted 24 world premieres. The 22nd edition of the festival, which took place over 19 days, saw over 80 guests and over 80 actors participate in in-person and online programming. The film "Interior" won Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Art Direction, and Best Actor. The debut of the Méliès Silver Award for Best European Feature Film was given to Paul Urkijo Alijo’s Basque dark fantasy “Gaua.”
