The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check that quickly escalated into a kidnapping investigation. Deputies were alerted that a female suspect had left a residence in the Denver area with three juveniles, including one that did not belong to her. The suspect's phone pinged at a Walmart in Denver, leading deputies to track their movements and identify the vehicle used by the suspect. The child was found unharmed and returned to a guardian. Amber Marie White, 30, was transported back to Lincoln County and charged with kidnapping.
