Millions of dollars in crypto left Iranian exchanges after strikes, researchers say

Outflows from Iranian crypto exchanges increased after the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, according to two blockchain analytics companies. The largest Iranian crypto exchange, Nobitex, saw outflows rise to $2.89 million, an eightfold increase from the previous day's peak hourly outflow. Overall, around $10.3 million of the total crypto left Iranian exchanges between Saturday and Monday. The data indicates the growing role of crypto in Iran, where activity tends to rise after geopolitical shocks. However, it is not clear who was behind these transactions.
