Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked President Trump to extend Iran's 8 p.m. EDT deadline for a deal regarding the ongoing Middle East conflict. Sharif stated that diplomatic efforts are progressing and asked for a two-week extension to allow diplomacy to run its course. This follows threats from Trump, who have been making increasingly aggressive statements about Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for the oil industry.
