UK-based company, Wren Kitchens, a Home Depot partner brand, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation and has abruptly closed 15 stores in the US, which could leave customers out of thousands of dollars. The closures, primarily located on the East Coast, were announced on the company's US website. Home Depot had no prior notice of the closures and did not know in advance that it was happening. Former employees of the company allege that a closure warning was not given, leading to a class action lawsuit alleging that Wren violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act. The company operated 15 brick-and-mortar retailer stores on the east Coast and Wren Kitchen Studios located inside Home Depot stores.
