The Polish HBO Original series “The Eastern Gate” is set to return for a second season. Jan P. Matuszyński, known for directing the series, will return as director and play Lena Góra in the role of Ewa Oginiec. The show, which premiered last year as the most-watched HBO European production in the U.S. since “30 Coins”, tackles a timely topic of political tensions rising around the world. The second season will be produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and aims to present it to a wider audience as early as 2027.
