Japanese baseball player, Shohei Ohtani, has reduced his ERA to 0.38 with six scoreless innings in a 4th start for the San Francisco Bay Area team. This comes after he kept the game in a scoreless tie with a strikeout of Giants designated hitter Casey Schmitt. Despite this, the Dodgers were unable to maintain control after lefty reliever Jack Dreyer surrendered a three-run homer in the seventh to Patrick Bailey and the team was shut out for the first time this year. Since the earned run became an official statistic in the National League in 1912, this is the fourth Dodger to allow one or zero earned runs in his first four appearances of the season.
