Oscar Vasquez-Lopez, a man accused of killing a Savannah area teacher, Dr. Linda Davis, is facing homicide charges in her death. The police report indicates that he was driving 68 mph in a 35-mph zone when he hit Davis' car, causing it to become so badly damaged that firefighters had to cut the roof of the vehicle. The suspect had been under a final deportation order since 2024 and was under strict guidelines regarding high-speed chases.
