More Spacewalk Preps, Advanced Research as Cargo Craft Readies for Departure - NASA

The Expedition 74 crew continued preparations for a spacewalk, while also maintaining vascular health research and artificial intelligence studies. NASA flight engineer Jessica Meir and flight engineer Chris Williams of NASA and Sophie Adenot of ESA (European Space Agency) are preparing for a six-and-a-half-hour spacewood to prepare the International Space Station for a new roll-out solar array. The new array will be installed later to augment the main solar arrays' power generation capabilities. Meanwhile, mission managers have approved the departure of Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus XL spacecraft for 7:05 a.m. EDT on Thursday.
