Alaska native Sayvia Sellers, the all-time leading scorer in girls' basketball at the University of Washington, has represented Alaska in the NCAA tournament. Sellers had previously played for Anchorage Christian School and won three state titles. Despite initially being interested in gymnastics, Sellers fell in love with basketball at a young age and discovered her talent at out-of-state basketball camps. She chose the university of Washington due to its close bond and close relationship with the team. Despite a recent loss to Texas Christian University, she remains optimistic about her future in the WNBA.
