The claims were first published in an anonymous Substack post attributed to "DeepDelver," who became suspicious after receiving leaked data about the startup's clients. DelVE's COO and CEO Karun Kaushik have stated their intention to set "the record straight" on anonymous attacks and have hired a cybersecurity firm to help understand what happened.
