NYPD Officer Charged With UES Doorman's Death In Wrong-Way Crash

New York City police officer, Tiffany Howell, has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter in relation to the death of a doorman on the Upper East Side. Prosecutors allege that Howell was driving her personal vehicle southbound in the northbound lanes of the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County at over 50 mph when she crashed head-on into a car driven by Manuel Boitel. The incident occurred at the time of the crash. If convicted, Howell faces a maximum sentence of eight to 25 years in prison.
