Jonathan Greenberger has been named as the next Global Editor-in-Chief of the news organization, succeeding John Harris, who will assume the role as POLITICO Chairman. Greenberger, who has previously served as POLITICO's Executive Vice President, will succeed John Harris. The news comes as New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and legislative leaders agree to a deal on legislation protecting vaccine access in the state. The legislation includes a bill requiring health insurers to cover vaccines recommended by the state’s health commissioner and those recommended by federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). It also removes references to ACIP in state laws on school immunization requirements, the recommended immunization schedule for newborns, Medicaid coverage, and the immunizations that practitioners are authorized to administer. The Department of Justice is investigating a lawsuit accusing New York-Presbyterian Presbyterian Hospital of violating federal antitrust law by using federal contracts with health insurers and raising health care costs.
