Volunteers adopt mangroves in Sanibel to help foster vital South Florida ecosystem

Conservationists in Sanibel have created an "Adopt a Mangrove" program to foster and replant mangroves, which are known to prevent costal erosion and storm surge. In the last few months alone, 700 volunteers have adopted over 1,800 mangrove. The initiative is aimed at fostering a vital part of the ecosystem.
