Japanese band Hanabie (pronounced Ha-NAH-bee-eh), known as "Harajuku-core," has become an international phenomenon due to its unique style combining hardcore metal with J-pop influence. The Van Buren in Phoenix, Japan, was packed with fans dressed in different styles and costumes. The band's members, Yukina on vocals, Matsuri on guitar and vocals, Hettsu on bass and Chika on drums, are top-class musicians. The performance was described as a study in contrasts, with audience members dressed in black and white.
