Brigham City man arrested after disconnecting gas lines, threatening to blow up home with girlfriend inside

Jeremy Ruben Perea, a 44-year-old man from Brigham City, has been arrested on one charge of aggravated assault (third-degree felony). He allegedly threatened to blow up their home with his girlfriend inside, causing police to evacuate nearby homes. The pair live in separate units in the same residence. Police responded to the scene and found that Perea had been tampering with gas lines and had turned on the electric stove. He is currently on probation for a previous incident of domestic violence.
