A majority of Swiss are backing a referendum proposal to limit Switzerland's population to 10 million, according to a survey by media group Tamedia with newspaper "20 ​Minuten and polling institute Leewas. The survey also showed that 52% of respondents were in favour of the proposal, while 46% were against it. The proposal includes a cap on the permanent resident population and an end to the freedom of movement agreement with the EU.
