Dannie Pigotte Jr. was killed in a shooting at Magoo’s Sports & Spirits in Myrtle Beach, North Carolina. The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. Two people were shot during an altercation, with one of them being Pigotte who later died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. The other person involved in the shooting is in stable condition. Kay Montalvan, sister of Pigotte, described him as a polite, intelligent and kind man who was looking to have a good time at the bar. She also expressed frustration over the lack of official communication from law enforcement regarding the incident. MontalVan is calling for the bar to be held accountable for its lack of security.
