Iranian soccer players train with local team after being granted asylum in Australia

Two members of the Iranian women's soccer team, Fatemeh Pasandideh and Atefeh Ramezanisadeh, have been granted asylum in Australia after initially accepting humanitarian visas to stay in Australia during the U.S.-Israeli war. Five of the seven initially accepted the visas, but five changed their mind and joined the Iranian team in leaving Australia. This was their first public appearance since accepting the asylum offer. The rest of their team, which had been in Australia for a regional tournament before the war began, flew to Oman after arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Sydney.
