Kia's mid-size electric SUV, the EV5, has been spotted testing in the US with US plates, raising speculation that it may be coming to the US. The car is currently available to order in Europe, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, and Canada, but not in the United States. The prototype has front amber lights, a requirement in the U.S., while Kia may also be testing the GT variant for Canada. The EV5 was launched in China in 2023 and has been a key part of Kia's comeback in the country. It is available in nine trims and prices start at $43,495 CAD.
