Alexia Jayy, the first African-American woman to win The Voice, has been crowned the season 29 champion of NBC's Battle of Champions. Jayy's victory came after a successful season that saw several format changes and a new-look panel of coaches, including Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. She was the first to cover "Lady Marmalade" and performed a rendition of Adele's "One and Only" during the final. As champion, Jayy will receive a $100,000 cash prize, a recording contract with Universal Music Group, and a special "Artist Launch" home recording studio kit.
