Swiss Documentary Film Festival Visions du Réel Unveils Lineup for 57th Edition

Swiss documentary film festival Visions du Réel (VdR), known as "Visions of Reality," has unveiled its 2026 lineup for its first edition in Nyon, near Geneva. The 57th edition will feature 164 films from a record 75 countries, including 128 new ones, and 58 first films, including 36 debut feature-length films. The lineup includes films from established and new names, including Jacqueline Zünd, John Wilson, American Doctor by Poh Si Teng, Jaripeo by Efraín Mojica and Rebecca Zweig, and Whispers in May by Dongnan Chen. The festival will open with a screening of Oscar-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras' Cover-Up. Kelly Reichardt, the guest of honor for the 57th VdR, will be the special guest at the event.
