On May 4, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln was buried in Springfield's Oak Ridge Cemetery and moved 17 times between 1865 and 1901 due to construction concerns and construction concerns. Al Capone was transferred to a federal penitentiary in 1932 after being convicted of five counts of income tax indictments and sentenced to 11 years in prison and a $50,000 fine. The new 200-foot-tall air traffic control tower at O’Hare International Airport became the tallest in the United States. In 1987, six Cook County judges tied to Operation Greylord were relieved of their judicial duties following a federal investigation of public corruption in Chicago. The investigation was a landmark in its use of eavesdropping devices and a mole to obtain evidence instead of relying on wrongdoers to become government informants.
