The City of Marlborough has issued a statement regarding an incident involving Homeland Security Investigation agents in the city, where they took individuals into custody, including a 14-year-old girl. The statement stated that at no time were any individuals transferred into the custody of the city's police department, nor were transported to a facility in Marlboro or any other location. A federal judge has now ordered the release of the teenager, who was brought to New York after being detained in Marbout. The girl was placed in custody of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement within hours of the initial encounter.
