High gas prices are good for warehouse stores' net sales in the Las Vegas Valley, despite lower profit margins compared to other gas stations. Many people in Southern Nevada exclusively source gas from warehouse stores such as Sam’s Club and Costco for lower prices. The price for unleaded is now at an average $5.06 cents in Las Vegas, an increase from last week's average at $4.99. Costco stated that its gas business enhances traffic in its warehouses and is a strategic part of their net sales. The record high for Las Vegas gas prices was set at the record set on June 16, 2022.
