Gabe Nesmith has decided to reclassify and join Vanderbilt Basketball a year early, joining the team that Mark Byington believes could be crucial for the team's chances of winning a national championship. Nesmit, who was still a class of 2027 recruit when he visited, wasn't committed and hadn't indicated firmly that he had intentions of moving into the class of 202026. Byingtun believes Nessmith is one of the best pure scorers in the 2027 class and could play a significant role in helping Vanderbilt win a national basketball championship. Despite visiting several power-five programs, NesSmith chose Vanderbilt and is now a key piece of the team.
