Sen. Warren slams Trump administration for pressuring EU to relax tech regulations

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) has criticised the Trump administration for pressuring European allies to relax regulations that would hold big tech companies accountable for enabling child sexual exploitation online. In a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Warren accused the trade office of threatening countries with tariffs after they initiated formal investigations into Elon Musk's xAI and its Grok image generator. The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) has identified X, owned by xAI, and Grok as two of the biggest contributors to online sexual exploitation of kids in 2026.
