Rain and a transition to wet snow is expected for parts of New Jersey on Thursday, with temperatures expected to drop 50 degrees from record high temperatures. The National Weather Service predicts that the best chance for snow is south and east of the I-95 corridor, but it is expected to be limited to trace amounts. Temperatures will drop rapidly through the day, with winds up to 40 mph predicted. The weather service warns that the wind will add to the chill as temperatures fall, with windchills expected to fall into the upper 20s to low 30s by late afternoon. Friday will bring dry conditions with temperatures closer to seasonal averages, but wind gusts up to 30 mph and low humidity could raise the risk of wildfires.
