Princess Diana had two go-to tiaras: the Spencer Tiara and the Lover’s Knot Tiara. The first wore the tiara for her wedding to King Charles in 1981, and it became one of Diana's most worn pieces throughout her career. The Lover's Knot tiara was originally created for Viscountess Montagu in 1767 and was later gifted to Lady Cynthia Hamilton as a wedding present in 1919. Queen Elizabeth loaned the diamond-and-pearl headpiece to Diana in 1953 and later loaned it to her as an inheritance. Diana also made fashion statements by refashioning necklaces into headpieces during her time as part of the royal family.
