Cattle Look to Tuesday Trade

Live cattle futures closed 30 to 90 cents higher at the close of the previous day. This could put further pressure on the market. The CME Feeder Cattle Index dropped 97 cents to $371.82 on February 27. The OKC feeder cattle auction showed 5,500 head for sale, with feeder steers and heifers selling at $5-15 respectively. Wholesale Boxed Beef prices also rose, with Choice boxes up $1.50 and Select being $3.09.
