Executive Turntable: Craig Ericson Launches Vaux Records, WME Announces Multiple New Hires

Craig Ericson, founder of Rise Records, has launched a new music label, Vaux Records. The independent label is named after Portland's Vaux’s swifts. Vaux records was formed in 2025, with the label already signing CUNTROL and J NOIRE. In 2015, Ericson sold Rise Records to BMG, marking his re-entry into the music business after nearly a decade. WME has also announced the hiring of Barbara Frum, Michelle Martinez and Jana Recmanikova as agents in its contemporary music department, as well as promotions of Kath Butler and Giulia Spadaro to agent. Warner Music has also launched its own Finnish label, A&R.
