Since Day took over in 2018, the team has won the 2024 College Football Playoff national championship and has a 79-12 overall record and a 54-5 mark in Big Ten Conference play. The university has produced five first-round picks at the wide receiver position since 2022, earning them the nickname "Wide Receiver U." However, not every player Day has recruited has been a first- or second-round pick.
