However, the film was criticized for being tone deaf, out of touch, and lacking in depth. One moment was captured during the film, where the camera crew captured a phone conversation between President-Elect Donald Trump and his wife discussing the election results being certified. The documentary spends a significant amount of time with the President and First Lady together before and during Inauguration Day, but some of it feels forced, inauthentic. I think more scenes like this would have made for a stronger, more relatable, and more interesting final product.
