The price of flights between Asia and Europe has risen due to the closure of key Middle Eastern hubs due to a U.S.-Israel war against Iran. Airlines are rebooking flights via alternative routes including China, Singapore, and North America. This could increase flight times and fuel usage, which could increase costs over the longer term. Subhas Menon, head of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines, said airlines are paying a high price due to connectivity. Fares on Asia-Europe routes have also surged, with many booked out for days.
